Regulatory Compliance Committee
The Regulatory Compliance Committee (RCC) is comprised of no less than ten (10) representatives from Members who serve in three (3) year terms as appointed by the Board. The RCC meets bimonthly to address compliance related issues that impact DBA Members. The DBA Board member who serves on the RCC reports to the Board at its next regularly scheduled meeting following each RCC meeting, or to a Special Meeting as may be deemed necessary at the discretion of the Board. The RCC meetings are open to all DBA members who are interested in regulatory compliance issues. The meetings are held in alternating counties by volunteer host banks.
The Mission of the RCC is to serve as a forum to: exchange and interpret regulatory information; actively participate in the regulatory rulemaking process; and, provide education and informational sharing opportunities.
There are four subcommittees to the RCC:
The Rulemaking Subcommittee reviews proposed regulations and may make comment to the appropriate regulatory agency.
The Regulatory Subcommittee reviews new regulations and makes recommendations for implementation.
The Education Subcommittee reviews and recommends compliance related educational programs helpful to the Compliance group.
The State Legislation Subcommittee monitors proposed and new banking legislation in other states to determine its impact on Delaware banks that do business in those states.
